You have always had a different understanding of the charge and maintenance of mobile phone batteries. Here I want to unify your views and correct some wrong opinions.
Speaking of the lithium ion battery, the first to introduce, the lithium ion battery is the use of carbon materials can be hidden from - lithium ion as anode active material of lithium ion battery, the symbol for the Li-ion. As we all know, batteries are usually made up of basic elements, such as positive electrode, negative electrode, separator, electrolyte and so on.
Cathode: lithium cobalt (LiCoO2), lithium nickel (LiNiO2) lithium manganate (LiMn2O4) and so on;
Negative electrode: artificial graphite series, natural graphite series, coke series and so on;
Diaphragm: Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) micro porous film composed of single-layer or multilayer;
Electrolyte: propylene carbonate (PC) and ethylene carbonate (EC), two methyl carbonate (DMC), two ethyl carbonate (DEC), methyl ethyl carbonate (MEC) as a mixture, consisting of two yuan or three yuan.
Most of the lithium ion batteries sold on the market are batteries that use lithium cobalt acid as the positive pole and graphite series as negative.
The working mechanism of lithium ion battery is charging the battery, the cathode material of lithium ion dissolution into the anode modified graphite layer; battery discharge, lithium ion from the graphite layer deintercalation through the isolation membrane backfill to layered structure of lithium cobalt cathode. Lithium ions are continuously embedded and released from positive and negative electrodes with charge and discharge. Therefore, some people call it "rocking chair battery". The rated voltage of lithium ion battery is 3.6V, the charging limit voltage is 4.2V, and the discharge voltage is 2.5V.
Lithium-ion battery charging process is divided into two steps: the first is the constant current charging, constant current, voltage rising, when voltage to 4.2V is automatically converted to constant voltage charging, constant voltage charging voltage in constant current is smaller and smaller until the charging current is less than the preset value so far, so the mobile phone battery charging time for direct power display has obviously full grid, but still display voltage is charging, actually this time has reached 4.2V so the battery indicator is full, then is in constant pressure charging process, then one might ask, why to constant voltage charging. 4.2V is not on the line directly with the constant current charge, is actually very easy to explain, because each cell has a certain resistance, when using constant current charge to 4.2V when the 4.2V It is not the actual battery voltage, battery voltage and battery internal resistance but consumes voltage and large current, so if the voltage on the internal resistance consumption is large, so it is the actual battery voltage may be much smaller than 4.2V, so use a constant voltage charging process, the charging current slowly down the actual voltage down, so that the battery is very close to 4.2V.
We don't need to know so much about the use of lithium ion batteries. As long as we know how to charge and how to discharge, we can make the battery play the best role and maintain good cycle performance. Now, I'll talk about some of my views on this aspect.
1. lithium ion batteries should be the best use of the original charger, otherwise it will damage the battery to a certain extent and affect its service life.
2. for direct and charger problem, I think, if time permits the best use of charger, which can extend the service life of the battery but also can increase the charging capacity of a single;
3. if the battery is not used for a long time, it is best to save about 40% of the electric quantity at the temperature of 10~30 degrees C, and fill the electricity every half a year.
4. for the new battery just bought, some say three times before charging to charge more than ten hours to fully activate the battery, I don't think it's necessary, of course for the new battery several times before the capacity may be less than the future, that is the battery of long-term storage, active material surface passivation caused by. I think the charging charger charge to the green light after enough for one or two hours before a few times, will of course different charging current time with your charger and your battery capacity change, in short is not charging time longer, so not only can not activate the battery, but will affect the life, serious. (if you control the charger voltage precision is not enough) will explode.
5. of the battery in the process of long-term use often have an erroneous understanding, I need to talk with you, we tend to think that the battery number is certain, for example, is 500 times, so use every time to fully, so it requires a charge to fill every every time, it will try to put the discharge clean, it seems that use is the most effective, in fact, the battery life with your usage there is a certain relationship, if the cycle life of your battery is 500, if you use it properly, then perhaps can be used 700 ~ 800 times, so that proper use is not charging charging too full, about 90% is enough, see the low battery during use, can immediately and not wait until it is charging, automatic shutdown and even self After the shutdown, we didn't charge it. We once did such a test in laboratory: the life of 80%DOD battery is about 30% longer than that of 100%DOD battery.
6. it is also very important, the lithium ion battery charger for charging voltage requirements are very strict, very strict restrictions, you must see it is 4.1V or 4.2V, because if the use of graphite anode series, then the limit voltage is 4.2V, if the anode is used in Coke Series then voltage limit is 4.1V, this would explain the general battery, charger and battery must be matched in short, you can not go to charge 4.1V with 4.2V charger battery;
7., another point must be emphasized: never use a nickel filled hydrogen battery or a nickel chromium battery charger to fill lithium ion batteries, which will not only damage batteries, but also may explode.
8., lithium ion battery has no memory function, so every charge does not need to discharge like nickel and hydrogen battery and nickel chromium battery. It can charge and discharge at any time and anywhere.
In general, not superstition 12 hours charging head three times, not always afraid to intentionally discharge, as long as possible to run out of charge, full use, not too stressed to what the mobile phone battery life is very long, otherwise it will backfire
